Cykopath

Cykopath (Stylized as CykoPath) is a 2020 gacha beta album that is based around the fictional character OC Cykotara Kilonova Sekiei, better known as Cyko. this album and OC was created and released by Eric Mattavian Jones, better known as Diamondstep. This album is before Diamondstep founded Diamond Nation. Beta Album or Beta EP (Noun) is a type of project that allows the listener and/or audience listen to the music or album while it is still in development. Once the album is finished, it would be distributed and released officially. this type of album method is inspired by video game development culture, particularly by Frag: Pro Shooter, which grew in popularity and downloads when it was released as a beta, and would then come out of beta in 2019. CykoPath is a project that incorporates lore into dubstep and EDM, with lore ranging from yandere and dark themes (the tracks released in 2020) to foreign nation hostile takeover by evil sibling (the song "Goresaw" - 2023). in 2024, the album was finalized and brought to an end after 5-6 years due to Diamond's signature sound no longer sounding the same as it used to in 2020.

Cykopath is Cyko's second project created through voice Dark Magic, Cyko's Family grows more as the project grows more songs. having a long-term beef with the young sister, protecting the oldest sister from high level disturbence and/or Danger, and learning more about her family and the things that messed up the tree.

Welcome to CykoPath, the 20TH Album." - wrote this description in 2020, I don't know WHAT the hell I was doing back then. Basically in 2020, I started an OC project called Cykopath, which became one of the most exciting beta albums to make. And surpassed a lot of good feedback. Fast-forward today, I've started enjoying the new era of gacha. And while I'm all for it, there are some things that needs rethinking. Cykopath mainly started as a new generation album with gacha and dubstep to bring a better collision, to collide both worlds. And I've noticed now that my level of production of today is no longer the same as the level of production of 2020, with my new level production being inspired by many other universes, like Team Fortress 2, Five nights at Freddy's, and helluva boss/hazbin hotel. And finally, I can say that when I was still trying to figure out my place during the covid-era, one pandemic changed the way I made music. Now I use I'm making better music, but I feel as though the Cykopath project has dated as the coronavirus leveled down. With that being the case, me and Cykotara have thought long and hard about this and have made a careful decision and formed an agreement. after 5-6 years, Cyko is going to be put away for repairs. And most importantly, the Cykopath album will be put to rest. And finally, Cykopath is the last beta album project. Thank you for the memories and the love. Cyko will miss all of you!
