Music for Flute, Guitar and Piano

This CD achieved 'Editor's Choice' in the Awards Issue of The Gramophone magazine in November 2006. It is a selection of some of the best solo, duo and trio works of the British composer Eddie McGuire, ranging from his early experiments with layering (as in his 1971 minimalist piece for multiple pianos Twelve White Note Pieces and the more recent work
Dark Cloud using eight guitar tracks). Three leading exponents of their instruments in the new music field came together under the careful recording expertise of Delphian's Paul Baxter in Edinburgh's Reid Hall - Nancy Ruffer (flute and piccolo), Abigail Rushworth (guitar) and Dominic Saunders (piano).
